El RB260GS es un pequeño switch SOHO con cinco puertos Gigabit Ethernet ports y un slot SFP que opera gracias aun Atheros Switch Chip. Incluye el potente Sistema operatvo diseñado por MikroTik para sus Switches - SwOS.
SwOS es configurable desde el navegador y ofrece las funcionalidades básicas de un switch gestionable, y más aún: permite la gestión port-to-port forwarding, aplicar filtros MAC, configurar VLANs, mirror traffic, aplicar límites de ancho de banda incluso ajustar algunas cabeceras de direcciones MAC e IP.
